Creativity works in mysterious ways, a lot seems to happen in a sort of semi-conscious state ‘behind the scenes’ until suddenly there is some internal pressure or an impulse – ‘you need do the work now’ – it is time for the ‘messages’ to come through.
I was born in Australia although I currently live in Brasil. Both places to me have an intense and wild nature aspect that I love. During the last 2 years I have spent time in Australia for a few months at the end of each year. When I’m there I go walking in the bush as often as possible where I enter into a world of wonder and I find I receive a lot of messages there.
The black cockatoos, kookaburras, hundreds of other birds, snakes, lizards, wallabies, quokkas, hermit crabs, forest crayfish, cicadas and then all the trees and native flowers are all so extremely peculiar and powerful.
Sometimes I get up extra early for sunrise and walk through the bush before there are too many humans yet….

I take photos and write in my journal and finally I am putting together some of these observations and stories into artworks to share.
Nature Spirit Talk – is a series of images, reflections, foraged elements, assemblage and drawings – all which are coming from my roots in Australia where I learn to find myself, time and time again.
